Beef and Broccoli

This recipe is an Asian delight. It's very easy to make and so delicious. I do recommend preparing it in a crock pot so the meat will be moist and tender.

Ingredients:

Yield 4

1 small onion

3 cloves garlic

2 pounds thinly sliced steak or beef roast

3T sesame oil

3T olive oil

1/3c soy sauce

3/4c beef broth

1/3c brown sugar

1T cornstarch

Fresh or frozen Broccoli

Yield 24 for large crowds

6 small onion

18 cloves garlic

9 pounds thinly sliced steak or beef roast

1c sesame oil

1c olive oil

2c soy sauce

5c beef broth

2c brown sugar

1/3c cornstarch

Fresh or frozen Broccoli

Instructions

  1. Place oil and meat in your pan and sauté until meat is brown, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add in onions and garlic continue to sauté until onions are tender.
  3. Add the beef broth, soy sauce and brown sugar. Keep stirring until dissolved.
  4. Place mixture in a slightly warmed crock pot (a cold crock might crack if you put hot food in it).
  5. Mix 2 tbsp (larger version: 2/3 c) water with 1 tbs (larger version: 1/3c) cornstarch and add to your mixture.

Recipe Notes

Steam your broccoli and cook your rice separately in quantities that suit you and your family. Stir in the broccoli and serve over rice. This is so easy and good.
