This is the order of YHVH's Feasts and other remembrances in the progression of the Hebrew calendar.. It is important to understand the order in which the festivals were given by YHVH to man - for we are to build after the pattern of scripture.

Shabbat is our gift from our heavenly Father. What earthly king is so concerned about his people that he would give them one complete day of freedom to feast and play and sing with him? There is NONE like him!!

Pesach or Passover is the beginning of the spiritual year because God tells us this is when the beginning of the year takes place. Exodus 12:2: This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is prepared for weeks in advance by thoroughly cleaning the house to remove every crumb of leavening (hametz in Hebrew) from it. What exactly is leavening? Let's find out!

Shavuot is the one holiday that was not identified by a specific day of the month--it's a little more than seven weeks from Passover. No date could be named since Shavuot is counted from Feast of First Fruits and both always land on a Sunday.

What we do find in Torah regarding the celebrating of Yom Teruah? It's scarcely 2 verses of instruction from Leviticus and Numbers, yet it is a tremendous blessing to the people.

This marks the Ten Days of Turning, the Ten Days of Awe beginning with Yom Teruah and ending with Yom Kippur. It characterizes a concentrated form of introspection and reconciliation.

Purim is the last celebration of the spiritual year. It is the celebration that points to a time when sin is overcome in this world. God's chosen people, hidden and thriving in the nations, will be raised up and strike a final blow to those who seek to destroy them.
